Right now, it seems the Russians are going to hammer some cities with artillery and bombs, then try to take them. In heavily built-up urban areas full of people who, if they didn't hate their guts, do now.
History says combat in that kind of area eats troops, and Russia has already lost a lot of them, and lots of equipment; wonder just how many Putin & Co. are willing to lose in pushing this?
Added: the recent couple of weeks have demonstrated that a lot of people in charge of things are effing idiots, and lots of other idiots are willing to cheer them on.

Well, we've got a bunch of "WAR BAD! NEVER GOOD!" types screaming for us to get into a shooting war with Russia, because it sounds good to them. Right now. And some "Why is it in the interest of the US to get involved in 'X'?" types who want to go along with it. Going by what I've been reading, most of them really have no idea in mind of "What is our goal in this?" other than 'Russia loses', and they may not have a real good idea of what that means, either. But they damn well want to trash the whole country to do it.

I learned a lot over the past 5 years.
1 the media lies a lot.
2 government lies even more
3 it's probably been going on for decades if not longer.
So with that all the news in the past about Russia is bad etc.
I'm finding hard to believe all they told me.
And it's their fault media and government surrounding me with lies.
So what I'm saying is maybe Russia is doing the right thing.
I'm gonna reserve my judgment on Russia until all the facts are in. Not to mention the news coming out of Ukraine might also be very tainted.
Two of the most corrupt countries in the world killing each other, and make no mistake the Ukraine can't win this.
Azov isn't taking orders from Ze. They never have. They do their own thing. That thing just happens to be going after Russians for both of them.
