Because if these assholes won't go after people behind an attack on a Senator that included putting a cop in the hospital, they won't give a damn about what their asshole friends do to you.

 

Bet a lot of even the control-freak sheriffs and police chiefs had a conversation:

"So what the hell are we supposed to do, knock down doors and arrest people at Thanksgiving dinner?"

 

The good ones had already said "You are not going to do this.  I don't care what the Governor says."  The others had to reflect on what happens to their job when a huge number of people tell their officers "You're not invited, go away."  You're going to arrest everyone?  Really?  You want to watch your support go into the toilet, and your job as well?

 

There was an incident a couple of days ago with a bunch of people at a meeting telling sheriff's deputies and a health department weenie to get the hell out.  Which they did.

Looks like a lot more people are arriving at the "Piss off and leave me alone!" moment.

One more reason not to buy Apple's crap

Apple, the $2 trillion tech company, has lobbied Congress to soften the language in a bill aimed at preventing American companies from relying on forced labor in China for its products, according to a report from The Washington Post.

Two congressional staffers told The Post that lobbyists with the firm Fierce Government Relations have sought to water down the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act.

you can always count on them to crap on that oath to 'uphold the Constitution'.  They've just announced they're not approving any firearms license requests 'because of the surge in Wuhan'.

Went to the range a couple of days ago,

and there's been enough stuff to do that I haven't had time to write anything about it.  I'll try to remedy that, couple of interesting results.

and communism, I remember just what wonders it's brought the world before.Like
The nickname “the road of bones” speaks of the highways horrific history. The road was constructed from the 1930s to the 1950s by prisoners using hand tools during the Stalin regime of the Soviet Union. During this time, political prisoners in gulag provided the labor force needed for construction. During its construction, thousands of inmates died because of the unfavorable working conditions and the harsh cold weather. They shot many inmates dead for not working hard enough while others died from brutal freezing conditions of the gulags’ camps. The bodies of the dead inmates were buried beneath the road or around the road. They thought it to be easier to bury the dead bodies in the permafrost than digging holes to bury them. So, the highway is a memorial and therefore the name “the Road of Bones.”

But don't worry, the idiots assure us that it'll work great this time, because they'll be in charge.
