after fueling up, works out to 290 miles, just under six gallons, 50mpg. Considering the bloody awful winds I fought on the way out and about half the way back, that's great.
Also, a recommended book for riders: Total Control. I'm about 2/3 through it, and it's good; some new ideas, some tweaks to things I've been doing, and explanations of a couple of things I'd noticed that'll help me refine those things. His cornering technique is broken down to ten steps, and they work. Enough so that I'll emphasize 'try this out in places with room', because you can find yourself turning a lot faster than before, and you don't want to run out of space on the inside.
