I got a free pen and ink drawing of a British soldier at either Gold or Sword beach playing the bagpipes on D-day because the man who commissioned it specified Normandy and bagpipes but rejected it because the man was not wearing a kilt. The artist, who prided himself on historical accuracy, refused the commission saying they hadn't worn kilts since Dieppe. Perhaps that's the problem with the Canadian army now. Canada doesn't know what to do with balls of that size anymore.
