Old friend headed down the road

The Vulcan has sold. Guy who bought it picked it up with friend who looked like the 'old biker who can fix anything' image came from him.

May she him as good a service as she gave me.

Heck man, that was quick.   How'd you manage to unload, erh, I mean SELL that bike so fast?

Now buy yourself a nice red Ducati 900.
Or if you are of a more sedate mind, buy the Harley that you always wanted. You know you do, just submit to the cadence of the Hawg V twin music.

I bought the Ducati and never regretted it. Not for a minute. You might buy the Hawg and never regret it.
Right now is the good time to buy a bike, end of season. Go for it, you know you want it, you know you deserve it.

I used the above rationale to buy over 40 motorcycles. I never regretted any of them.

Marty, Craigslist of all things; put up an ad and picture last night, within four hours had three inquiries and one of them bought it. And had another inquiry by the time I got home from taking care of the title.

And it'll have to be a used bike; looking around at new just about gave me a case of the vapors. I HATE looking at new vehicles; I never do until I need one, and I suffer sticker shock.

And I have a clear conscience on the Vulcan, I had the problems listed in the ad, so they knew what they were getting. Except I just remembered I forgot to take the throttle lock off, dammit.

Yeah, my son and his wife got rid of a sofa and loveseat recently posting on Craigslist.   Those items left the premises quick too.

Yeah I got a chuckle, or maybe it was a gasp, out of that link BigDick posted in his comment.   13 grand for a almost vertical twin?   I know, I know, it's ~1600cc monster, but still?   Wow!   Sticker shock to the nth degree.

Son got me to go to the local BMW/Ducati dealer; BLEEP! Found a wonderful bike I liked, the base version is $14k. Ain't gonna happen.

Local Triumph/Suzuki dealer has some nice bikes of both, including that Triumph; way out of reach.

Roger, I can honestly say that since I was about 18 I have not wanted a Harley. Period.

Yep, just checked Craig's List Dallas for Vulcan Classics.
At least five very low mileage ones there for 5K and under.
