Things went well, so it worked out. And as a final act, here's some clearing

A last note for the evening
My lodge had its annual fundraiser today. This follows several days of cleaning, mowing, buying the stuff, prepping the stuff, cooking the stuff, and now selling the stuff. To say I'm beat is fairly accurate.

The line about 'ramshackle' is off, I think,*
otherwise this is another "We're screwed on military supplies" matter.
For a millennium, black powder was a crucial material for both military and commercial uses. Today, it is a specialty commodity with few commercial applications—mostly for rocket hobbyists—but it’s still used in more than 300 munitions, from cruise missiles, to bullets for M16 rifles, to the vital 155mm shells.
In each case, a small amount of black powder is used to detonate a more powerful explosive packed in the same bullet or missile. A 155mm shell for a howitzer, for example, will use half an ounce of black powder, lodged next to 26 pounds of a more powerful explosive.
Etc. The military still uses a lot of black powder, so when the Goex facility blew, it was a much bigger problem than having to get imported powder for your muzzleloader and cartridge firearms.
So when Estes bought it, and said they would be producing for their use and for commercial sales, there was great rejoicing. Lots of people waiting for it, but I wonder how much will be left for sales if the military decides it needs most of it.
*That wall the article mentions 'blowing 100 feet' was a blowout wall; it's intended to do that to vent pressure and reduce damage to the rest of the place.

It's been two years
since one of, if not the, worst military actions the US has ever screwed up happened.
God knows how many Afghans who helped the US have been tortured and murdered, and how many US citizens were left behind, with Biden & Co. still telling us what a marvelous action it was. Damn them all.

From the Dark & Fascist State of NJ,
"On top of the fees and so forth, we'll make the qualification something that has not much to do with self-defense shooting and prevents as many people as possible from qualifying."
Yeah, sounds like the bastards.
Yeah, sounds like the bastards.
"I am in the Army, I know weapons better than you
and I say you don't need-", etc.
Added: this is from an article a few years back, and there were a number of ranking officers shooting in, let us say, odd ways. They may be quite good at what they do, but their handgun use...

Someone made a list of all the things
'that may cause you to die of a heart attack, even young athletes!'
You'll notice the Wuhan vaccine is nowhere on the list.
Also I lost track of who found this. If I can find it again, I'll add them in.

Fecesbook just gets more stupid by the day
Second time today logged in to be told my password doesn't match, and had to change it. I don't know if it's just that messed up, or if I'm one of the many being screwed with for posting BadThink.
Yeah, child abuse is a fair description
of this "I'm raising him to be a Feminist!" bullshit.
We discussed how the frustration Ken feels at being left out of fun in Barbieland mirrors how women and other minorities feel in America today. Together, we laughed about Barbie and Ken’s trip to the “real world” and the Mattel corporate headquarters, where only men sit in the boardroom. I assured my son that it’s OK to feel slighted and want to be in charge. It’s understandable that after his return, Ken leads a revolt and tries to rewrite the Constitution to put Kens in power. I get it: I’m pretty mad there are only four female Supreme Court justices and a female vice president.
Etc. ad Bullshit.
Makes you wonder if she's tried to push him into the 'You're actually a female gender!" crap?

The adult in the room strikes again
When asked about the rising death toll that had now reached horrible levels, Biden’s remark was a cold one. “No comment,” he said, according to Justin Sink, White House correspondent for Bloomberg.
Because he really doesn't give a damn.
And, as noted in the story, if Trump had done this it would've been the lead story for days on most media. But he's a leftist Democrat, so no. Much like "You don't have a deposit slip to Biden's bank, so all this means nothing!"

The two Sikhs who whacked on the armed thief?
Apparently there was enough outrage over the thought of them being prosecuted that the DA- who's running for office again- announced "Oh no, they won't be charged!"
I can't imagine why...
And have you noticed that almost none of the news stories have mention of the fact that, earlier in the video, the crook appears to show a knife to the clerks? I also wonder why.
