Something else that'll really annoy the Usual Suspects
Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. said he was inspired to
advocate for the protection of the Second Amendment after reading about
the efforts to keep guns out of the hands of freed slaves who fought for
the right to bear arms.
“The fight by the abolitionists, post-slavery, for blacks to be able to be armed — do you know that gun control, early gun control, was really about keeping guns out of the hands of black people? We as black people have been so separated from our history it’s astounding to me. We should be some of the most ardent supporters of the Second Amendment because our history was not being able to possess arms to be able to defend ourselves from mobs, kidnappings and lynchings,” he said during a Heritage Foundation event, “The Right to Arms and the War on Guns.”

Under the heading of 'Making Pelosi and Feinstein and Schumer blanch
and possibly lose bladder control',
“All-time” means “in the 20 years they’ve been measuring this,” but still. In 1996, amid soaring public concern about crime, support for a ban stood at 57/42. Twenty years later, after a long period of stupendous decline in crime rates in many major cities, it stands at … 36/61. As recently as four years ago, the gap between support for a ban and opposition was still fairly narrow at 44/51. Four years later, the bottom has dropped out. Huh.
I strongly suspect a combination of
lack of trust in government,
seeing rioters run loose with cops doing nothing in some cities(see 'trust' above),
More and more people being exposed to the good gun culture in the US(Blazing Sword, for instance),
and seeing more and more information on places like Chicago, which have all the Bloomberg/Mommies/Obama-approved laws combined with horrible violent-crime rates.
The usual suspects won't like this at all.

A bit of firearms history,
Kalashnikov's in this case.
Y'know, if the judges had begun throwing people in jail for violating court orders, things would have started clearing up with remarkable speed.

Did think that the 'official' number was a bit low,
but not this low. Wow.
That odd sound you heard was Feinstein and Boxer and Schumer crapping their pants.

Our 'Justice' Department at work
The day after Hillary Clinton testified in front of the House Select
Committee on Benghazi last October, John Podesta, the Democrat’s
campaign chairman, met for dinner with a small group of well-connected
friends, including Peter Kadzik, a top official at the Justice Department.
...
Podesta and Kadzik, the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs, were in frequent contact, other emails show. In one email from January, Kadzik and Podesta, who were classmates at Georgetown Law School in the 1970s, discussed plans to celebrate Podesta’s birthday. And in another sent last May, Kadzik’s son emailed Podesta asking for a job on the Clinton campaign.
Naw, no chance of a problem there, nooo...

"We need more gun laws, because we're not enforcing the ones we've already got
very well."
As Baltimore police and prosecutors race to tamp down a sustained spike in violence, many of the charges against people caught with illegal guns aren't sticking, or defendants are only jailed for a fraction of their sentence.
About one-quarter of such gun cases are dropped before defendants go to trial, according to a Baltimore Sun analysis. Even when convicted of illegally possessing a firearm, prosecutors say, defendants are sentenced on average to 16 months in jail, with a substantial portion of their sentences suspended.
And what else might be involved?
Some of the solutions lie in better cooperation between police and prosecutors, they acknowledge. Mosby noted in an interview that a large number of illegal gun cases are dropped because of technicalities and avoidable circumstances, including questions over the legality of stops and officers failing to appear in court.
Wonderful, isn't it?

History: Oct. 26, 1942
As Mitchell Paige -- then a platoon sergeant -- and his men set about
establishing their last defensive line on a ridge southwest of the tiny American
bridgehead at Henderson Field on Guadalcanal on Oct. 25, it's unlikely anyone
thought they were about to provide a definitive answer to that most desperate of
questions: How many able-bodied U.S. Marines does it take to hold a hill against2,000 desperate and motivated attackers?
And a little later on,
For the task, Major Conoley gathered together "three enlisted communication personnel, several riflemen, a few company runners who were at the point, together with a cook and a few messmen who had brought food to the position the evening before."
Be nice to know their names as well.

So, frenzy or fairly normal?
So far a lot of people are buying some extra ammo or components, some are definitely buying firearms(especially EBR types), but there's still ammo on the shelves, and powder, and no long lines- at least around here- to fill out a yellow sheet.
I'm guessing that a lot- probably most- have decided that if the three branches are split between parties it'll keep Clinton- if she wins- from just shoving through some of the crap she's pushed. Especially since she's not going to get any honeymoon 'be nice to the winner' period. So "I'm going to pick up some extra ammo/primers/powder/bullets just in case, but I'm not doing that panic-buying again."
The 2nd is still under threat, especially if Clinton gets to nominate some judges, but the widespread panic doesn't seem to have started. At least not yet.

"You shouldn't be allowed to carry a weapon on campus, it's dangerous!
All you need is a whistle, and call the campus cops."
Except when those don't work.
Temple spokesman Ray Betzner told the television station that the mob had been playing a “cat-and-mouse game” with officers throughout the night as they assaulted people who were walking around campus.
My, aren't leftists such a racist bunch.
I wonder how much someone's paying per year to be subjected to this crap?
I've got a problem with a lot of Sanders supporters, both from supporting this idiot and from being willing to ignore the Evil Party screwing them over because "At least they're somewhat socialist!" And then you add in crap like this:
They had other complaints, though, that set them far apart from Clinton and the party’s establishment and placed them firmly in the camp of the alt-Left.
“The Democratic Party hasn’t gotten rid of patriotism yet.” This was a complaint.
“Chants of USA, USA were disturbing. I felt like I was in Germany in the 1930s.”
“They brought out the flag and sang the national anthem.”
“You have a problem with the national anthem?” I asked.
“It makes me uncomfortable.”
“Every country in the world has a national anthem,” I said. “It’s perfectly normal.”
“Just because something is normal doesn’t mean it’s a good thing.”
What do you want to bet that they loooove the Cuban anthem? Or the old Soviet anthem?
'Smoking gun' = "Hell yes, he knew about her illegal e-mail system."
Putting it bluntly, they're saying "Get back on the reservation, boy."

'Consequences'?
For a fellow Democrat operative with a byline? Fat chance.
And a lot of these clowns will sit around bitching about and trying to figure out why people don't trust them. The others won't care that they're not trusted, because "We're saving you from yourself, stupid peasants."

He calls it 'Fudging Numbers for Gun Control'
I call it 'Lying their ass off again', but we can be polite and go with fudging.
Miguel's ongoing question is If your cause is righteous, why lie? Of course, we know the answer: because the truth doesn't serve their purpose.
Speaking of, isn't it interesting who the Brady Campaign considers wonderful politicians to support?

One day about twenty years ago
I was riding down the street and saw smoke up ahead. On the other side of the intersection I was going through was a bike in the turn lane, burning, a car stopped a ways down,
and the rider laying in the street between with a couple of people
standing to keep traffic away from him. Yeah, that gets your attention.
I have no idea how many times I've nearly been sideswiped by someone not paying attention, or looking but not seeing, or with a phone in their hand. The assholes who think the stop sign or red light doesn't apply to them. The asshats who think the whole road belongs to them.
I really like riding, and I'm not planning to give it up. But you damned well better have your head on a swivel in any traffic, and use your mirrors, and watch for the assholes who think their conversation or text is far more important than what else is on the road.

One thing I've found really sets Obamabots off
when they're doing the "Obamacare
SAVED ME!!, and lots of others!!" routine, ask them "I'm curious: all those
millions who lost the insurance they were promised they could keep, and
now either have some shitty plan with huge deductibles or not coverage
at all, do they count?"
They REALLY don't like that question. And tend to very quickly turn to insults and accusations("You just don't want anyone else to live!!", etc.).

The Obama administration is confirming that premiums will go up sharply next year for health insurance sold to millions of consumers through HealthCare.gov.
Before taxpayer-provided subsidies, premiums for a midlevel benchmark plan will increase an average of 25 percent across states served by the federally run online market.
The number of insurers serving the federal market will drop from 232 to 167, a loss of about 28 percent.
Please not that that assumes you CAN get a subsidy(i.e. The .gov looting other people to pay your bill). And doesn't mention the killing deductibles most people are saddled with.
You know it's bad when the asshats in Obamaland are openly admitting "Yes, you're going to get screwed." Especially after Dear Leader claimed insurance would be 'less than your cell phone bill each month'.

Oh, no, this isn't going to speed that fuse up,
not at all.
He was found guilty of serious sexual assault and rape of a minor and was sentenced to six years in jail. Yet in a bizarre twist, the Supreme Court lifted the verdict of six years imprisonment and ordered a re-execution of the proceedings.
Supreme Court President Thomas Philipp said that while the verdict was "watertight" with regard to the serious sexual abuse of a juvenile, the written verdict on the second indictment, rape, cannot be sufficiently proved.
According to the Supreme Court, the first court should have ascertained whether the offender had thought that the victim agreed to the sexual act and whether Amir A. had the intention to act against the will of the boy.
That's a TEN YEAR-OLD BOY. How the BLOODY HELL, in what damned world, can a TEN YEAR-OLD agree to sex?
Germany, what kind of fucking idiots do you have on your court?
