How did that mess in Aurora get started? With government help, of course,

and a fair amount of crookedness.
An obvious question: How did members of Venezuelan gangs suddenly find themselves in suburban Colorado? To answer this, we have conducted an exclusive investigation, which leads to a troubling conclusion: the Biden administration, in partnership with Denver authorities and publicly subsidized NGOs, provided the funding and logistics to place a large number of Venezuelan migrants in Aurora, creating a magnet for crime and gangs. And, worse, some of the nonprofits involved appear to be profiting handsomely from the situation.

The story begins in 2021, when the Biden administration signed the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) into law, allocating $3.8 billion in federal funds to Colorado. The City of Denver, which had declared itself a “welcoming city” to migrants, drew on this reservoir of money to launch its Emergency Migrant Response resettlement program, with the goal of housing and providing services to a massive flow of migrants.

So, with Biden and the Governor involved, no wonder said Governor lied about it.

“Publicly subsidizing NGOs”
Our tax dollars spent by the pets of the administration without accountability and with zero transparency.

I lived and worked in that area in 1993 for about a year. It was a hellhole then. Colfax has long been "the street everything runs downhill to" in the Denver metro area. Hookers openly accosted people walking fown the street, hearing gunfire wasn't an every day thing, but it wasn't particularly rare either, gang members were everywhere, and yeah, there were "no-go" blocks as well.

These folks moving in seems to me to be more of a "new crime bosses taking over the area" thing than anything else. It's just that now they're foreigners, only in the area due to the bad govt policy. It's really sad to me that it's been literal decades of being ignored, only now it's a big deal becuz it's Venezuelans instead of the people who grew up steeped in it.

And Denver has been caught repeatedly bussing these illegals to other cities. Salt Lake City seems to be a favorite if theirs.
