When I had the first knee done I wondered,

since they said it takes a year for it to fully heal, how winter would be.

It sucks.

I figure part of it is because the left is taking up some of the stress on the right, plus the 'still healing'.  Whatever the cause, yuck.  And the newly-repaired, of course, is informing me of how it hates the cold fronts and warm fronts fighting it out.

Question answered.

Knee replacement? I recently had a badly torn meniscus taken care of and while he was at the orthopaedist cleaned out arthritis in the knee. Needful both but wow. Now to do the same in the opposite knee. I cannot fathom how a knee replacement would be. Keep on keeping on.

Once you’re bone on bone, there is no going back.
The replacement in the long run, is far better than getting a clean out every 2 yrs (X3). That’s the schedule I was on until my repl.
Mine was 22 yrs ago and hasn’t given me any problems since.
No impact, don’t balloon up in weight, no more gut bomb NSAIDS!

I had a few ops done and it took 2 years to work out the scar tissue in my hands. The knee took about 4 months but was touchy for a year. So, you seem to be on track. Best wishes and Merry Christmas from Canada Firehand.

Wear an Ace neoprene brace.
It really helps.
