Ever messed with the shotgun mini shells?

I once had a box of the Aguila buckshot and tried it, they wouldn't feed reliably in my scattergun.  From someone with a lot more experimenting we have this article.

Right now the things are just as rare as anything else, and I plan no more messing with them.

I have them in buckshot and slugs in my M590. The Miniclip makes them feed just fine.

I agree, Larry. I have a Maverick 88 with the extended mag. With the Opsol mini clip they feed just fine. And you can get an awful lot of them in the magazine. Got to stock up on them when available. Ammo Seek is a great source and they now score vendors on shipping cost.

I tried them in my Model '97 when I was doing Cowboy Action and they worked just fine. It's kinda fun getting that many shells in the magazine.

I've run minis in a Mossberg 500 with a mini clip. As long as you have an adapter or a mini compatible action they offer reduced recoil and increased capacity. I think minis have potential in 3 gun since you may be able to shoot a stage without reloading. One use I'd like to see explored is using 1.75" minis in old break action shotguns with 2" chambers since 2" shells are rare and expensive

I make them for a friend of mind. He shoots them in his 12 ga survival "flare gun" They are easy to load. I test fired them in my 1200 winchester pump and have to roll the shottie onto it's back to chamber the next round. 15" circle at 30 yards. Not much defensive value I'd say. Kill a grouse if need be but really that is about it.
