One more hit in the cosmic shooting gallery

A ' meteor ' crashed into earth causing tremors and a huge "flash of light" in the sky, it has been reported.

The fireball was spotted at Turkey Beach and Emerald in Queensland, Australia, as hundreds of locals took the social media to report their houses shaking and a "burning light" in the sky.
At some point one of these is going to either impact on land in/near a city, or blow in the air close/directly above one, and it's going to be really messy.

The next mass-extinction event, like the last, will probably be a meteor. It's happened before, and it will happen again. Hopefully not this week, though.

But, it's just a matter of time before a big one sails in and treats us like it did the dinosaurs.

And provided the city in question is Washington(DC), or Austin(TX), or Madison(WI); totally awesome.
