Two pieces of, at best, bad thinking:
“The fact that anyone can easily purchase this potentially lethal tool is just crazy,” he said.
'Potentially lethal'.  Like a shovel, or any knife, or a hammer...
“He’d still be alive today if it wasn’t for a machete.”
Because the tool is somehow responsible for what the criminal does.  Or the criminal couldn't possibly find some other implement to do evil with.


Outnumbered, outgunned…and completely victorious.
