You want to look at a prime case of "You stepped off the reservation,
you fool!" ? Take a look here. This is the gentleman Kevin linked to, who got a very bad reaction from someone he'd considered a friend of long standing.

Couldn't leave a comment over there, but the short version of what I wrote there that would post is that Ron(? NEVER was his friend and if that drone hadn't been living in a western civilization it would have starved to death years ago.
I couldn't get it to take one either. Said pretty much the same thing; that once he stepped off the reservation he went from 'acceptable acquaintance to be labeled a friend' to 'fool who doesn't know his place'.
