They say that politics makes for strange bedfellows. It seems that terrorism makes for even stranger ones. Who would have thought that an American far-left radical terrorist group would make common cause with Islamic terror groups, when the two groups' agendas seem so misaligned?
And yet, that seems to be what is happening. On Wednesday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio took to his official X account to warn the American people of a connection between Portland Antifa, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Hamas. But more to the point, SECSTATE is telling us that the American government is digging deeper, beyond the Antifa foot soldiers and Hamas goblins, to find the people behind the scenes who are enabling them.

Islam and the anti-capitalism left do have a lot in common. Islam makes it a sin to charge interest on a loan, effectively denying the time value of money. Combine that with the idocy of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and the gross ignorance of the left, and you have a marriage made in Hell.

Both are totalitarian, militant, expansionist, absolutely intolerant, continually at war with anyone and anything that is not them. Islam is a political system masquerading as a religion, Marxism is a religion masquerading as a political system. Both are obsessed with draconian purity laws, one defined by a false prophet's doctrine, the other by ever changing political doctrine. Oh, and both are demonically guided and sustained.
Actually, the no interest in Sharia finance is a big fat lie, just like everything else they say and do. Fees and charges are added. Prices are inflated or fixed. The effective interest rate is hidden behind a smokescreen of control and false piety.

The Quran forbids charging of interest. Societies realize that is idocy and figure out end runs around the prohibition; just like the TLAs find end runs around the Constitution.
