@ruralcouncil: _Maybe he's a felon with a gun, maybe not. Someone found an arrest report with the same name, but the age doesn't match - or the report gave two different ages, so one is a typo. But an arrest is not a conviction anyhow...
It's ridiculous that our system makes it much easier to find a record of an arrest than to find out how the case ended.
Felon with a gun is a federal crime. The locals might be afraid of political fallout for doing their job _if_ the guy really was convicted of a felony or domestic violence, but the local federal DA should be investigating - and if Bob Barr is worth anything at all, he will be checking on this and firing someone if the appropriate steps were not taken.
