If you're a handloader, this'll make you hurt

Guy came in the other day, told the reloading guy that he'd just paid $125 for a brick of a thousand small rifle primers.  "I know I shouldn't have, but I needed them, I was out."

Damn

Holy smokes! I'm glad that I bought every conceivable primer type that I needed or will probably ever need in bulk over the years when a good deal came around. I think I'm up to 27 lifetime's worth now............

Man that sucks. I've never let myself get that low on anything. Primers, powder, cases, bullets. I don't cast but I was gifted? left? with between 500-750 or so pounds of lead and linotype. suppose I could learn if I had to, Though I'd rather not.

Damn! Back in June I only paid $30 when I found a brick on the shelf in Sportsmans.

Purchase a case gauge. Using it will check all the pertinent dimensions of the cartridge, including the rim diameter.
