Why the National Socialist Democrats should, as a group,

be run out of town on a rail. After appropriate pre-treatment, of course. And let's include some Republicans in that list, too.
The Senate measure, currently being debated on the floor, blends about $30 billion for President Barack Obama's 30,000-troop surge in Afghanistan...
That's in the 'Defense Appropriations' bill.

Which some member of the Stupid Party larded crap into, also.

We'd be better off if we either banished or hanged about 90% of the bastards in the House and Senate.

My plan for term limits has been this for a while -- every two years, when Congress reconvenes after an election, every representative and senator draws a lot. The guy who draws the skull gets dragged to the front steps of the Capitol and shot in the fucking face until dead.

Your chances of getting the skull are pretty low your first time (one in 535.) But that chance compounds every time you come back. How many of these greedy pigs would come back to the trough if they thought the butcher might be waiting?

So 2/3 of the bill is pork, unrelated to the title. But what is the military portion? 30 billion for 30,000 troops = one million per soldier.

When you start figuring the costs involved in transport, maintenance, supplies, parts and all the other stuff, that adds up damned fast; artillery shells and powder are damned expensive, for instance. And, quite frankly, I don't give a damn: that the slimy bastards use ANY defense bill as an excuse to play pork games is, well, indefensible.
