Over at No Quarters is this post on the law being pushed there to require all ammunition to be serial numbered. And that if it passes, casting your own bullets will be illegal, as will buying surplus ammo, etc.
California is in the hands of the idiots and nannies, and they'll neuter everyone if they get a chance. Bleah.

Yes, and note that serializing ammunition means nothing unless the round can be tracked from manufacturer to final purchaser. That is registration, my friend!
Please note that anyone with a hotplate, wheel weights, and a drill can cast bullets, so there will be a thriving market in unregistered ammunition, for use by the crooks.
