Apparently the Marines haven't been teaching much about that Constitution thing they swear to uphold, or

this is another example of 'higher' education as much of it currently sits.
Marshall University professor Chris White said the bill doesn’t have enough safety measures in place. Formerly a Marine Corps infantryman, he referenced months of training that military and police officers go through “to earn that Second Amendment right and carry those weapons in public.
Apparently, at the least, White has no actual idea what a right is.

Marine Corps weapons training consisted of 1 week learning, basic marksmanship, shooting positions and "snapping in" or dry firing. Week two was actual firing the Known Distance course. Rest of the time was rifle drill. After graduation and in the Fleet, one spent one week at the rifle range. Never was there months of training with firearms.
Secondly, only MP's carried while on DUTY and the firearms were always kept locked up in the armory.

There was a movie made about when only the police and the military had guns.
It was called "Schindler's List."
