This is a game-changing revelation since Biden was counting on Saudi Arabia & UAE. They were the only two OPEC nations perceived to have spare capacity.
Macron’s revelation means that it’s up to the U.S. to produce more oil, and soon, or the energy crisis will get much worse.

Which means changing things NOW, because it'll take time to get things restarted. And you get they'll require some kind of guarantees that they're not going to get half done and then Biden shoot them in the knees.
It's so much faster for idiots to screw things up than to repair the damage.

Nuclear energy along with fracking, plus a pipe line up north might be nice.
It takes about 10 years to build a nuke gen in the west.
Our oil companies had the cash on hand for refinery expansion by why bother until there is a change of policy/Gov.

there are micro nuclear plants now. they can provide power for 5k homes and desalinate enough water for same, at very low cost and the tech is eco sound and safe. keystone pipeline is dead, as are any others for the near future. it takes years to get land issues and eco issues settled. we are still EXPORTING oil. why? b/c everybody else first, except us.
