First Father's Day since Dad died;

it's odd.  Not 'fall to your knees and grieve', but odd.  And his death date's next month.

Throw in health crap, and if it wasn't for the meds I'm taking I might get drunk.

Never easy, my friend, but the do lighten up a bit as time passes. My Dad’s been gone 13 years. Every birthday, Father’s Day & death date I pour a couple fingers into a couple glasses, sit down and have a chat & a drink with my Dad. Won’t bring him back but it does make missing the crotchety ol fart a little less painful.

Same here my Dad died in Aug. 21
It is weird not having him over for Father's day. Even though he came over a lot.

I get where you are coming from. My dad died on Easter Sunday this year. A 98 year old WW2 vet from the Pacific Theater. It's definitely a weird feeling when they are gone.
