That said, the latest news from the investigation into the shooting looks very bad for the law-enforcement officials responding to the scene. Tony Plohetski, an investigative reporter for the Austin-American Statesman, tweeted a picture showing police stationed outside the classroom where more than a dozen children were murdered. The officers, armed with rifles and at least one ballistic shield, were in the hallway near the classroom at 11:52 a.m.—58 minutes before they breached the locked classroom, and 19 minutes after the gunman entered the school. At 12:03 p.m. a second officer with a ballistic shield arrived, followed by a third a few minutes later.
“Investigators believe this is significant because it indicates they had more than enough firepower and protection to enter the classroom before they did,” wrote Plohetski. “Officers were growing impatient far sooner: ‘If there’s kids in there we need to go in there,’ one said on body camera video.”
And their chief is calling for more weapons because 'all we have are pistols'...
And on the dead scumbag, still lots of questions, one of my favorites being "Where the hell did the kid get the money?"

Besides finding out where the money came from has it been determined what meds he was on? This much insanity running around has to come from somewhere...
What about the windows ??
Same as all the past "mass shooters"! How much of this manure are we suppose to believe? Right up to the "commander" holding back the rescue cops, I guess to make sure the shooter was "finished with his work" before going in and taking him out.
Bet some nasty drugs were involved!
The door wasn't locked.
Now the "commander" (school police chief) claims he did not know if he was in charge (although he declared that the scene was a "barricaded suspect", which calls for a different response than "suspect shooting children" - even though they could hear the shots continuing to be fired). Which means that he arrived at a scene with a bunch of cops standing around and did not ask who was in charge. If an Army officer ever pulled shit like that, I expect he'd be court-martialed, and busted to Private with a recommendation against any promotions, so he'd never be in charge of _anything_ greater than a toilet-cleaning detail. It also means that each of those cops, and every cop who arrived later and didn't try to find out who was in charge and check in, was also derelict in their duty.
Fire them all, and ensure that anyone who ever asks about their employment as cops will learn all about why they were fired. The school police chief deserves much more than that, but I don't see how it can happen under the law, and I'd never recommend that a gang of parents feed him into a woodchipper feet first.
