I had no idea that the thumb was that sensitive. That is an interesting way around a missing digit.
The trigger for the Springfield M-6 Air Force survival rifle had an entire finger bar at the bottom side of stock grip so that it could be shot in the arctic wearing mittens (or so I've been told).
