United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination
by John J. Newman (Author) , John M. Schmalbach (Author)
Makes you wonder what else Newman and Schmalbach changed to suit their political preferences, doesn't it?

What I found interesting was the opening statement that the amendments were "listing peoples rights." I vehemently disagree. In our (original) system, the people's rights are assumed, and the first ten amendments were intended to delineate the limits placed on the Federal government.
In our representative republic (not democracy, no matter what our delusional community organizer calls it), the powers of the FedGov were limited, and any powers not mentioned in the Constitution were reserved to the people and/or the States.
Not a terribly complex concept. I'm a retired music teacher, and I get it.
