We have two choices here: either Suzanne is a liar, or she's a friggin' idiot.

I would suspect "Suzanne" of being a sock puppet, rather than an actual person
Could be; if so, the university needs to disclose it fast, because every day this keeps going more people who were rejected are considering a lawyer.
Or starting a suit.
Hmmmmmm, I sense the proximity of a class action lawsuit here. Speculative damages, of course, but the principle should be the same as getting fired from a job. Fire me for good reason, or no reason, but never bad reason.
