Once again: Trust the EffingBI?

Why?
Few months ago:
...Just last December, the Department of Justice's own watchdog proudly announced there was "no evidence" of undercover FBI employees in the protest crowds. The Inspector General's report was crystal clear: no undercover agents at the Capitol on January 6. Period. End of story. ...

Now,
The FBI secretly deployed more than 250 plainclothes agents to the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot, an operation so disorganized it unleashed searing frustrations among many of the FBI's rank-and-file that the bureau had lost its core competencies to "wokeness" and allowed its employees to become “pawns in a political war,” according to an after-action report kept from the public for more than four years.
Oh, of COURSE there's lots of "We shouldn't have been doing this, but we had orders!"  Maybe some of the bastards actually mean it.

But not one of the bastards deserves any trust from us.

I think it was last week. Anyway, it was quite recent. The DOJ apologized for past behavior. Never mind that the errant behavior has been under a different administration. It was that an entire department offered the apology.

A department, not any individual. No one is suspended, fired, subject to legal action, or sent to prison. Why would they be? It was the department, not any employee or group of employees, who did the deeds.

So, we're good now. Apology accepted*. Carry on.

* Notice too that it matters not whether the apology was accepted. It went out to the open air. No one specific decides whether to accept or not. Half hearted, anonymously, sent from no one, received by no one.

So your point is FBI agents ought to be ignoring orders? What about now? You really need to think ahead about what it means to have a "reckoning" among people whose job it is to follow orders when we start telling them they sometimes don't have to.

This is just word-play/ass-covering. Take note of exactly what the DOJ IG said: “We found no evidence in the materials we reviewed or the testimony we received..." They really did not specifically claim there were no undercover employees in the crowds. Despite reams of obvious evidence available to the contrary, if I am only presented with photos of the Atlantic Ocean and a bucket of sand from the Sahara desert, I could honestly say I found no evidence Oak trees exist on the planet. It is amazing the things you don't see or don't find when you aren't looking in the right place. Don't be fooled by word-play.

FBI has had the best PR operation in history. The only crimes they solve are the crimes they create. The only crimes they solve are on TV shows.
