I've been touch typing for decades. Arthritis has messed up the timing of two of my fingers such that letters from those fingers usually get toggled. I used to be able to sense when I made a typo, but I don't sense it with those two fingers anymore.
I’ve used a wrist brace, which helps with the worst pain. I also use stretch fingerless gloves, which help with the cramping. The best results for me and my brother, who suffers from neuropathy, is voice dictation. Voice control on the iPad or Mac is much better than that which is on PC machine. It does take some getting used to, however. When you first start it’s a very slow process. It starts going easier, once the machine get used to your voice.
