They are so effing stupid they actually believe Hamas will stop doing what it's promised to(over and over) if Israel stops now,
They're so corrupt and power-hungry they'd do anything, including help save terrorists and abandon hostages, if it might get them some more votes in the "We hate Jews and want Sharia law everywhere!" places,
Or, for some reason, they actually WANT Israel to be attacked forevermore, and trying to save Hamas will cause that.
Of course, could be a mix of all three, considering a lot of the people they have advising them and directing them.
