"Facebook gave us a couple of screenshots of your account," one agent in a gray shirt said in the video.
"So we no longer live in a free country and we can't say what we want?" replied Abdeljawad.
"No, we totally do. That's why we're not here to arrest you or anything," a second agent in a red shirt added. "We do this every day, all day long. It's just an effort to keep everybody safe and make sure nobody has any ill will."
Showing up at your door and saying "We were given some of your posts to investigate" is nothing to worry about. Right.
And Fecesbook?
Shibly says that he doesn't know which Facebook post caught the agents' attention, and that it was the first time he had heard of Facebook's parent company, Meta, preemptively reporting posts to law enforcement. Andy Stone, a spokesman for Meta, and Kayla McCleery, a spokeswoman for the FBI's Oklahoma City office, declined to comment.*
I'll bet they did.
Oh, there's an update at the end:
*UPDATE: After publication, McCleery provided the following statement; "Every day, the FBI engages with members of the public in furtherance of our mission, which is to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution of the United States. We can never open an investigation based solely on First Amendment protected activity. The FBI is committed to ensuring our activities are conducted with a valid law enforcement or national security purpose, while upholding the constitutional rights of all Americans."
I once told my daughter that my coming to see the FBI as just another politicized bunch of .gov employees really bothered me. Which brings me to the question: Considering all they've been caught at over the last twenty years, do you believe them? Especially the "We can never open an investigation based solely on First Amendment protected activity line?

The FBI is nothing but the 21st century Gestapo for the Demonrat Party. If they ever show up at your door tell them you need to photograph their ID for safety AND recored the interaction for your safety. They will generally leave as they don't want their actions OR their ID to be recorded. And if they don't simply tell them you refuse to talk to them, they are now trespassing and the local cops will be called to arrest them for trespass. If they actually believed they had a valid reason to come to your property they would show up IN FORCE and HEAVILY ARMED.

Oh, I believe them. That's why they come to your house to "have a little chat". They're hoping you'll do or say something that they can use as an excuse to open an investigation.
