Yes, I'm still alive

Had the knee surgery, now doing the 'stay in bed/sit up/move around/do pt/don't push it/be active' stuff, and not really caring about the blog or most online crap.  There will be more eventually, but it'll be a few more days.

Get well.
Don't rush things.

From friends who have had knee replacement they say the replacement is better than the original. Do follow instructions on rehab and don't overexert the knee too soon. Best wished on your recovery!

You worry about you. The blog, although we enjoy it, is secondary. We'll still be around when you feel like blogging again.

Good luck!

Good thoughts to ya, don't try and speed up the recovery and PT, that will make everything worse. Yeah, I know you know that, still mentioning it.

I remember helping my girlfriend rehabilitate after back surgery. Every two hours, get her out of her chair and lead her through ten round trips from the den to the bedroom and back (she had an unrelated problem that had made her effectively blind).

She was pretty motivated - by the time I took her in for her 1-month evaluation, we were up to a mile a day, which surprised her surgeon.

Hey.. Just coming up on 8 weeks out from a partial knee replacement. Last PT session this Monday, followed by seeing the surgeon on Tuesday for the final check and then schedule my other knee for at least a partial...
Hang in there... pain in the butt generally for doing anything for
few weeks...

And it was another great test of my lack of patience...

Go well, recover and get back into things at YOUR speed.

Hope everything went well and the recovery is quick, complete, and relatively pain in the ass free.

Heal first. Post later. Keep an eye out for symptoms of infection, the most common post op complication of knee surgery. Also stay minimally active to prevent pulmonary atelectasis. If you get short of breath get to the ER. Another less common post op complication is pulmonary embolism which can be fatal.

Your readers can go elsewhere for a short time,
but I do enjoy your tales from the range.

They had me up and shuffling the hallways the next day. Sent home the 3rd morning. Spent a few weeks walking the sidewalks around home. Returned to work (seated) the 3rd week. All good by 6 weeks... except the PT. PT can be brutal. Continued on therough the second kneww, a hip and part of a foot. Hip was the worst.. you lay in bed for a couple of weeks.
