There's trouble in Obama-worship land

Faculty at the University of Chicago have joined a growing chorus of Chicagoans voicing alarm and anger over the planned Obama Presidential Center, set to be built in a sprawling historic park in the south side of the city.
Wanting to take over the park, plus the costs and other problems.  One of the 'We'll fix it' ideas is to make the parking an underground garage; I wonder how many millions that'll add to the price?

How'd it happen?  Besides the general 'abuse of authority because we hate Trump' crap?  Yep: they figured they'd get away with it, and be rewarded for doing it.  Hell with a few people resigning, if there's not a MAJOR cleaning-out of both the EffingBI and DoJ, they'll just be papering over the problem and telling people "You can't trust us."

One of the Joe Leaphorn novels, he's reflecting on working with the FBI and thinks that there's only two things that'll really get an agent in trouble: doing anything that brings even a tiny bit of bad publicity to the Bureau, and having an original thought.  From the evidence of the past while, the 'bad publicity' part wasn't a big problem anymore, as long as you were doing it for the right political party.
