Police union heads and elected officials are calling for a probe and an end to the practice.

Tell you what: you stop letting people get away with stuff because they have the card, and there won't be a damned problem anymore.

Assuming they can find anyone in the upper reaches of the EffingBI and DoJ who isn't a corrupt political hack, they need to replace the whole leadership in both places. And a bunch of the minions.
If they can't find anyone? Bring in outsiders who don't give a rats ass about 'protecting the reputation of the agency'.
All those laws in those Bloomberg & Brady-approved paradises don't seem to be working out real well.

Thank God I attended OSU back when things were reasonably sane. It's sad to hear about this crap-brained stupidity.
The Cops Cards have been used for YEARS. Lots of abuse. "All Courtesies and Priveiledges"
They even commented about it on Blue Bloods TV show.
