Why so many don't trust cops anymore

in two bits from the story:
"You take the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, all the rights you expect to have - when they come in like that, the only right you have is not to get shot if you cooperate," Harte told The Washington Post this week. "They open that door, your life is on the line."

And
"The defendants in this case caused an unjustified governmental intrusion into the Hartes' home based on nothing more than junk science, an incompetent investigation, and a publicity stunt," Lucero wrote in his opinion. "The Fourth Amendment does not condone this conduct, and neither can I."

The judge went on to question the department's claim of probable cause for the raid — particularly on the issue of the supposedly "positive" field-tested tea leaves. "There was no probable cause at any step of the investigation," the judge wrote. "Not at the garden shop, not at the gathering of the tea leaves, and certainly not at the analytical stage when the officers willfully ignored directions to submit any presumed results to a laboratory for analysis."
Bunch of corrupt, publicity-seeking idiots willing to kill people and ruin lives to get that publicity.

You'll notice there's no mention of the officers being disciplined, or fired for this crap.  But we're supposed to trust the agency.

I'm so freaking sick of reading stories like this.

I read the article, and I didn't see anything about anyone being killed. I might have missed it, but I think I read it pretty carefully.

The point being that the cops acted badly, and the family is going to have their day in court.

But, if you just want to bash cops, that's okay.

Bad cops I'll bash all day. And these were.

Let's see, I said 'willing to kill'. Not 'killed'.
Going in with the full kick-in-the-doors-and-guns-in-faces routine put everyone there in risk of death, which is what I wrote of.

Yeah, the family is getting their day in court. Years later. And the corrupt clowns behind this are not mentioned as being fired, or demoted, or anything else. Which is bad.

Justine Damond, Philandro Castile, and Sam & Vicki Weaver could not be reached for comment.

Or maybe you think they all "had it coming"?
