Nothing suspicious

here, is there?
Remington CEOs have decided to stay in New York, however, following a meeting with Sens. James Seward, Hugh Farley and Joseph Griffo, as well as Assemblymen Marc Butler, Claudia Tenney, and Anthony Brindisi. Shortly after the meeting, Congressman Richard Hanna announced that the Pentagon would award Remington an $80 million contract to make 5,000 sniper rifles over the next decade for the US Special Operations Command.
My first two thoughts:
Well, we know what Remington's price is, and
No Remington anything in my future.

Howdy,
So you guys caved in to the pressures of the government!?!??! Shoot, you dips, can’t you see the problems you are helping to perpetuate on LOYAL citizens of the United States of America? Your bottom line is obviously more important then the principles of this country.
So if that’s the case; no Remington purchases for me.

I wonder what a $16,000 sniper rifle looks like?

Ben C, you beat me to it :-)

Remington, picking the tax victim's pockets.

crony capitalism (fascism) at its lowest.

I was on the lookout for an old 700, I'll change that to a savage, even though there aren't many Savages over here.

Ben: like something you could buy for $4-6000.

Remington has been on the TBTF (too big to fail) list since October 1917 and the default on the Mosin Nagant rifle contract for Russia (and the British war bond buyer)

The US tax victims picked it up then, and have just done so again.

They've just done it again
