Sometimes even people who aren't fond of guns

like something as part of a getup. Went to a friend's birthday party last night; he wanted a speakeasy, 1920's theme. So, (yes, as of a year or so ago I have one) put on the tuxedo, tophat, Grandpa's walking stick and- as one should be properly attired and accoutered when attending such an event- put the 1911 airsoft in the shoulder rig. This one isn't balanced the same but weighs about the same as a real one(empty), so put a real loaded mag in the spare holder to balance it out.

Looking in a mirror, to me it was obvious there was something there, but until I showed it to the birthday boy nobody noticed it. He thought it was great, the only problem coming from one lady:
"That's not real, is it?"
"No."
"It's not REAL, is it?"
"No, it's plastic."
"It's NOT real?"
"No, it's an airsoft."
Also, it being warm, walking around with no jacket and the shoulder rig elicited no comment at all, other than "He's our enforcer."

And a good time was had by all.

What, no violin case with a Thompson? I do think it funny that the lady asked three different ways if it was "real," apparently "it's plastic" isn't enough, she's heard of Glocks!
