As a side issue, partly because it's always good to take note of the perfidy of the French, the Coalition takes due note of the French A: demanding a cease-fire, B. promising a couple of thousand troops, C. actually now offering a couple of hundred engineers and then only if there's no chance of anybody shooting at them AND they "objected to troops coming under U.N. control -- another provision Paris had insisted on to meet Lebanese demands, BUT they still want to be in charge.
