Small gun show at the fairgrounds

so I went by this morning. Quite busy for early morning. I have to say that some of the people with ammo are
A: Insane
B: Have no shame.
$30 bucks for a brick of .22. More at one table. And one guy had a 100-box of Winchester white box .380; he wanted $90.

Did see a couple of interesting things, more on that when I have time. Probably tomorrow. Schedule went to hell today.

Went to a gunshow today in Clarkston MI. Same box of 100 Winchester .380 was $100 and going fast.

That's ridiculous. I'd rather not shoot than pay those kind of crazy prices...at least as far as .380, since I don't own one and have no intention of ever doing so. ;)

I can beat you on the .22 ammo, went to a good sized show in Lafayette, Indiana, the second table I came to had 3 boxes of $13 Walmart Federal .22's. His price....$48/box. Almost couldn't stop myself from buying that deal.

$48 a box!?@! Now, that goes beyond gouging to flat ridiculous.

On the .380, side-effect of carry permits. Lots and lots of people, some spooked by the election, get their permit and find a little .380 is very handy for carry, so the pistols sell out, and they need ammo for carry and practice...

Last time I looked at Midway, all of the good hollowpoints were sold out, AND dies, AND bullet molds for .380. Just amazing.

I'd happily pay triple for the right to own a handgun here.

Thud, one day when I was about 16, at the range with Dad, and I realized that there were people who'd never let us do that again, is what started me on yelling at the politicians.

You have my sympathy, sir. Sucks what they'd done to your island.
