I wrote about the Garmin Xero a while back,

Widener's did a comparison between it and the new Athlon chronograph.

And still no information on exactly how far from the muzzle the radar computes the velocity. With my Oehler 35 - which, admittedly is a hemorrhoid and a half to set up - I KNOW the front - "start" - screen is exactly 13 feet from the muzzle, the rear "stop" screen is 17 feet, the center "proof" screen is 15. It can't read velocities at 11 feet, or 17 feet, or 12 feet 7 1/2 inches. The Garmin, I dunno where it's measuring it or if that distance changes based on bullet shape, weather conditions, exact chrono placement, or sunspots.
