Recently, Cochrane validated this, and found no evidence to support masking adults. Yet, all these years, Anthony Fauci repeatedly went on TV, and falsely claimed masking works, including cloth masks—which demonstrably don’t work, contradicted by multiple randomized trials.
Now, on CNN, Fauci is challenged. Please watch this amazing 1 minute video, link below. Fauci is directly confronted with the recent Cochrane review. Then consider his answer.
Fauci’s answer is that masks work for individuals, but not at the population level. But this is bizarre. He advocated for mask mandates at the population level. If he knew they did not work, why did he encourage them for populations? Moreover, even this week, he continues to advocate for them— at a population level.
Isn't it wonderful, from Mr. Science himself?

5 minutes before the China Wuhan Virus hit, official CDC policy was that masks don't stop colds, flues or China Wuhan viruses.
Nothing has changed in the science or research since then.

Fauci is a fraud. An administrator more than a scientist, who gets his name on research papers because he funds the work, not because he does it. Mr. Money-bags, except it is taxpayer money.
He probably doesn't really know what he's talking about, but he has learned to make money by pretending, just like a tent-revival scam artist.
Masks are a visible sign of compliance. Nothing more.

it will prevent you from spreading anything by picking your nose. CDC used to have a Q&A on 95 masks and the one major benefit of that mask, or any mask, was to prevent medical practitioners from touching their noses and mouths.
As far as preventing viruses being transmitted....only the viruses are embedded in mucuous will be large enough to be trapped by an N95 mask.

I'm so old I remember all the way back to when Fauci admitted masks didn't work and derided the general public for buying them up and creating a shortage in the medical community.
Which was only a couple of months before demanding everyone wear the masks that he'd already admitted didn't work.
Regarding his new position. Does Fauci not Grok that a population is nothing more than a group of individuals?
Apparently his 20+ years of education did not include a basic statistics class.
