Once more, in (formerly Great)Britain,

the cops are demonstrating just how good they are: crap on dealing with crime, hell on an autistic kid saying a disapproved-of thing.
Police have failed to solve a single burglary in neighbourhoods across nearly half of England and Wales in the past three years, amid warnings the offence is being decriminalised.
...
'It is fair to say that in some parts of the country, there are some crime types – in this case, burglary – that have become decriminalised because there is absolutely no consequence to committing the crime,' he told the Telegraph.

vs.
The mother claims that her daughter said to one of the officers, a blonde woman with short hair, that she ‘looked like her lesbian nana’. ‘You’re going to remove her for what, she said the word lesbian? Her nana is a lesbian, she’s married to a woman. She’s not homophobic’, the mother says in the clip.

She tries, in vain, to explain the distress this is all causing her daughter, who is hiding under the stairs, screaming and hitting herself. ‘She’s autistic’, the mother repeats, to which the allegedly offended cop responds: ‘I don’t care.’ A male officer intervenes, insisting the child made a ‘homophobic’ comment towards his colleague. The girl is then taken away, screaming and crying. She was released on bail without charge the next day.

Robert Peel is spinning in his grave.  Were he brought back for a couple of days, there would be a lot of empty offices in various headquarters, and lot of former cops looking for jobs.

If that had been my wife or mother chances are the lady cop would need a nose job and the services of a good dentist.
