This sounds like a good start to deal with the mess of asset forfeiture
It's called the FAIR Act, and from what I've seen looks pretty good.
Mind you, what some agencies have done is so illegal already the people involved should have been jailed for what they've done.

This bill is a start. Doesn't go far enough but it's something. However even if passed I guarantee that Pedo Joe will veto it. And Congress lacks the brains, balls and guts to override any veto. Thus this is just political posturing, virtue signaling. Congresscritters like to LOOK like they are doing something without actually accomplishing anything.
Asset forfeiture? You mean Revenue Enhancement? There's no way the bill has any chance. Photographs, names, dates, accusations (and accusers) will appear for any representative that allows it to move forward. Those self-same representatives won't risk their cushy jobs, and equally cushy pensions, to protect us peasants.
