This is surprisingly sympathetic to Justice Thomas and critical of the establishment for NBC News. Thomas's nationalism is of a piece with Thomas Sowell and his political opposite Adolph Reed Jr. the Marxist Political Science professor who was canceled for his blistering critique of the 1619 Project. Reed makes interesting reading since he clearly states that race is used as a divisive tactic by the elite establishment to distract attention from class enemies.
