The ACLU has been horrible on free speech for a while now, but this has scared them

enough to actually say something:
The American Civil Liberties Union has warned the "unchecked power" of big tech companies to de-platform a US president could be turned against anyone to discriminate against political speech on social media.
(No shit?)
The warning comes amid calls for a racketeering investigation as Donald Trump and his supporters become de-personed from Twitter and Facebook, while competing platform Parler was booted from Amazon, Apple and Google.

Nice to see them acting like they actually believe in free speech again.  We'll see how long it lasts.

My guess? Not very long, and they'll weasel word a little bit and then fold their tent. The ACLU is nothing but a bunch of whiny politically-correct "woke" Leftists these days. Useless as tits on a boar hog.

I actually belonged at one time (about 40 years ago). As an attorney, I can truthfully say that they, and a lot of the ABA, just makes me throw up, figuratively.

ACLU is fund raising right now. After the coffers are full they will put the blinders back on.
