Kukris are awesome blades, but definitely read on proper cutting technique when chopping with them (bottom line - make certain that direction of cut IS NOT IN LINE with body part) as they are heavy enough to teach hard lessons if you aren't paying attention. They are like chopping in mid air with a hatchet. Safer to kneel down so that cutting stroke is stopped short on a wood block. Heavy ass blade has momentum !
