In today's example of "Well, if she'd dropped the gun she wouldnt' have been hurt" we have

this bunch of effing incompetents:
The man who investigators were looking to arrest was already in jail when a task force raided his former home in Wilmer on Thursday morning. Ann Rylee, a 19-year-old woman who now lives at the home on Old Moffat Road, was shot several times as investigators made their way inside the house. Mobile County Sheriff Sam Cochran claims that Rylee had a shotgun in her hand and pointed it at officers.
Gee, you smash into someone's home in the dark and they're armed?  Who could imagine such a thing.

And, of course, despite the fact that YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE, her getting shot was her fault.  Right.

Cochran said, "The entry team was giving her orders, 'Drop the gun, put the gun down, drop the gun,' several times over a period of a few seconds." He continued, "She pointed the gun at one of them and two or three agents fired upon her."
A bunch of clowns break in in the dark- from the sound of this at least some of them not in any uniform- and she thinks she's in danger.  Damn I wonder why?  Not to mention that 'period of a few seconds' with a bunch of assholes screaming at her.

McLeod was booked into jail around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, about 15 hours before investigators raided his former home.

Sheriff Cochran said, "We do know that there is a miscommunication in this situation. We don't know the exact cause. We have narrowed it down to one of two things."
Holy bleeping....

So they didn't verify if he still lived there. They didn't notice in the system that he was flagged as being in jail already and the no-knocked the home of a 19year old women living on her iwn.

Sorry if you don't identify yourself and you wake someone up in the night by smashing in their door.. duh of course they will assume your a bad guy.

These dickheads playing "Well, she SHOULD have known it was cops, and if she'd only acted as if it were..." is infuriating.

IT doesn't address the "Why the HELL didn't you morons talk to each other and know he was in custody?", it's playing "It's her fault, so don't blame us!"

I'm about to reach the point of cheering when some honest citizen, attacked in the dark, shoots the bastards. Because THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS OR BEEN THERE.
