More on that wonderful Brit NHS we're supposed to love the idea of

NHS doctors are prematurely ending the lives of thousands of elderly hospital patients because they are difficult to manage or to free up beds, a senior consultant claimed yesterday.
...
He added: ‘If we accept the Liverpool Care Pathway we accept that euthanasia is part of the standard way of dying as it is now associated with 29 per cent of NHS deaths.’
NHS response: "Oh no, we're not!"

Yeah, I really want this crap here.

Euthanasia and 'death panels' are ALWAYS a necessary part of single payer care.
If EVERYONE gets care without paying for it themselves than the system rapidly
goes bankrupt. This reality REQUIRES that those who most utilize the system be
REMOVED from that system to save money and prevent bankruptcy. America gets away
with it's essentially 'single payer' healthcare system for those over 65 ( because more than 99.9% of that group rely on tax funded Medicare) because America controls
the benchmark currency and thus can run a MASSIVE debt and still stay in business.
(We also fund a lot of other things by 'printing money' but that's another story).
If the house of cards that is the US economy and debt structure collapses...and eventually it must, then the healthcare system we have will either come to an end or
will be forced to start eliminating the customers that utilize the most resources.
I.E. DEATH PANELS.
