Speaking of the DOJ, in this case something they SHOULD be investigating,

Joe Sestak explains that his brother (and senior adviser) is coordinating their job offer story with the White House, so its all good. A pre-Memorial Weekend file dump is predicted:

Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) said Thursday his brother has spoken with White House officials about the congressman's allegation that he was offered an Obama administration job if he would stay out of a Democratic Senate primary.

...He told reporters Thursday that he would not expand upon his prior statements until the White House releases its report on the matter. President Obama said in his news conference such a report would come "shortly."

Sestak expects the White House script to be available Friday.

The White House asked former President Bill Clinton to talk to Rep. Joe Sestak about the possibility of obtaining a senior position in the Obama administration if he would drop out of the Democratic primary race against establishment-backed Sen. Arlen Specter, the Obama administration said in a report released Friday morning.

Oh, that was a big mistake.

When told about the Clinton revelation, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., who has been leading the charge for more details on the allegation, said, “This is punishable by prison. This is a felony.”

“This is about the White House. This is not about Congressman Sestak,” Issa said, adding that he wants to know what Clinton was empowered to say.

“They’ve answered a question and it begs many more answers,” he said. “We want elections not to be appointments.”

So, I'm sure they cleared it with Clinton before they announced this(though it'd be funny as hell if they didn't); so what was the wording? "Bill, I need you to take this one for me" or "It's the only way to quiet this down to protect my presidency, Bill; you've got to do it!" or what?
