Let's start this Monday with another actor who wants a say in your life

The world is becoming so overpopulated that nature will one day wreak its revenge, claims Jeremy Irons, the actor.
Launching himself as a green campaigner, Irons has revealed plans to make a documentary about sustainability and waste disposal, likening himself to Michael Moore, the controversial film maker, although “not as silly”
.
Mr. Irons, Moore isn't 'silly'; he's a lying progressive bastard who has a great fondness for tyrants(he'd like to be one, for that matter).
The actor, who says he is apolitical although he is a former Labour donor and his wife Sinead Cusack is “deeply socialist”, has already made a plea for action in a short video for an organisation campaigning to end world hunger.
Labour donor... wife's a commie... yeah, he's as apolitical as my dog is a cat. Further demonstration:
The grimmer alternative, says Irons, is to continue to inflate the richer western economies to bursting point at the expense of poorer nations: “We would have to ringfence those who are starving and fighting over water, keeping everybody out. We’d live in a sort of fortress world, with an area which is fine, with its guarded oil pipe coming from Afghanistan or wherever, but I can’t see that working.”
'Apolitical' my ass; standard socialist/progressive "You have to starve someone else if you want to eat" bullshit.
The ultimate solution, he says, is for us all to live less decadently — growing our own food and recycling instead of replacing goods: “People must drop their standard of living [so] the wealth can be spread about. There’s a long way to go.”

Which means poor countries will have even less opportunity to become less poor, because they won't be able to sell their goods and develop their resources. But that's not as important as his theoretical 'wealth spread about' bullshit. With someone like him in control of it, of course.
Added:
What is it about Greenies and their pervy yearning for the apocalypse which is going to teach us all a lesson for messing with mother Gaia?

And what is it about people with seven homes? This is the same number as are currently owned by our terrifying new environment minister Chris “Chicken Licken” Huhne. Al Gore, the Prince of Wales and Zac Goldsmith have similar numbers, I’m sure.

Could it be that “sustainability” is a concept one only truly understands when one has grown so incredibly rich that one is able to shelter from the consequences of one’s eco-fanaticism in the seclusion and comfort of one’s many agreeable homes?

Some history on the Katyn Forest Massacre, committed by the Soviet Union and covered up by politicians and media who, in some cases, were in the tank for socialism quite a while ago:
On May 10, 1943, Life called the Poles “the most chip-shouldered chauvinists in Europe,” and Newsweek ridiculed the Polish attempts to find out the truth about Katyn as evidence of “that curious trait of unrealism that still permeates Polish politics.” The New Statesman did not shy away from implicitly justifying the Soviet crime (without admitting that it happened): “The Soviet government, often with reason, would regard the landed aristocracy and the officer class in Poland in the light of Fascists and class enemies.” This implies that the Bolshevik category of “class enemy” should suffice for a justification of killing thousands of people. (At the same time, similar semantic operations were used by the Nazis to justify the killing of their “racial enemies” such as Jews). The Spectator, meanwhile, came to a more “philosophical” reason why no investigation of the Katyn massacre should be pursued: “There is more to be said for leaving the dead to their sleep. No amount of investigation will bring them to life.” To put it briefly, the truth about Katyn could not be told because it would expose the most protected taboo of the war—that the democratic West, in order to liberate the world from one criminal, allied itself with another.

Speaking of socialists and bastards, some information on a bunch of corrupt academics and how they just keep getting honors and money, despite lies and insults and abuse they spread.

It appears the Metro DC Police Department needs to be cleaned out; at the very least, whoever gave the orders for this should be fired.
So, let’s sum this up: A caravan of SEIU buses receive a Metropolitan (D.C.) Police Department escort to a private home in Maryland where the protesters, from all appearances, violate Montgomery County law by engaging in a stationary protest. The Montgomery County police were not informed by their cross-jurisdictional colleagues of the impending, unusually large protest pending in their jurisdiction.

Snork. For all of you out there across the globe who have fought so hard to tackle the hideous enemy of our planet, namely carbon emissions, that bogus god you worship named "Climate Change" or "Global Warming", there is some really bad news that will be very painful for you to process.

The current volcanic eruption going on in Iceland, since it first started spewing volcanic ash, has, to this point, NEGATED EVERY SINGLE EFFORT you have made in the past five years to control CO2 emissions on our planet. Not only that, this single act of God has added emissions to the earth estimated to be 42 times more than can be corrected by the extreme human regulations proposed for annual reductions
.
Nature can be a bitch, can't she?

It appears the Administration is still playing games with terrorism data; not a good thing.
The Obama administration has failed to keep congressional intelligence officials in the loop on the investigation into the botched Times Square bombing, as required by law, the top Democrat and Republican on the Senate intelligence committee charged in a letter this week.

"Having to fight over access to counterterrorism information is not productive and ultimately makes us less secure," wrote Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein and Vice Chairman Christopher S. "Kit" Bond in a letter to President Obama on Thursday
.

It appears Gov. Jindal isn't going to play the "We have to have more studies" game. And there's a Coastie officer who isn't dodging. Though I have to wonder, what pressures was he under to act as he did before? And to take blame now?

Yes, I AM a suspicious type anymore.

Oh Canada, you're being run by idiots and buffoons.

Why Californicated is so screwed; and how the illegal alien lobby is trying to do it everywhere.
In 2001, the last time I attended the Monterey County Fair, the Mexican flag flew above the American flag. I asked an official why that was permitted. She replied matter-of-factly that California belonged to Mexico because the United States stole it. She added that Mexico is gradually reclaiming California by becoming the demographic majority.

And in the People's Republic of Massachusetts, we have a demonstration of Irony:
State Rep. Mike Moran of Brighton was rear-ended by a suspected illegal immigrant this week. The suspect was wearing a Mexican costume at the time of the crash where he slammed into Moran at 60 mph.

The suspect, 27-year-old Isaias Naranjo, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a valid license. According to the report, when told of the serious charges he would be facing, he just laughed.

But because of action taken by Gov. Deval Patrick, state police were unable to notify immigration authorities that Naranjo might be illegal
.

And in one more demonstration of just how well Richard the Turd(as Kim used to call him) Daley's precious personal disarmament laws are working,
At least nine people were shot on a hot night on Chicago's South Side, with one of them killed, authorities said. No one was in custody for any of the shootings this morning.

Well, trying to make someone else pay your way IS the Chicago way...
White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and his family dined on seafood at an Eilat restaurant and left the bill for the Israeli Tourism Ministry, according to reports in Israeli media. The report was met with consternation by MK Dr. Michael Ben-Ari of the National Union, who wants the bill sent back to Emanuel.
...
Ben-Ari fired off a letter to the Attorney General in which he said: “I was amazed to hear that following the sumptuous meal at the ‘Boston’ restaurant Emanuel handed the bill to a Ministry of Tourism representative who was present. In my humble legal opinion there is no possibility of making the State of Israel pay for such a meal, as part of a private visit by the White House Chief of Staff and his family.”

And speaking of the Chicago Progressive Way,
President Obama has decided to pre-announce to the world once-secret American ballistic missile tests and satellite launches.

The Democratic administration’s goal is to show a friendlier face to other countries and to coax Russia to do the same.

It’s part of a confidence-boosting initiative launched, so to speak, last fall when Obama suddenly abandoned the U.S. missile-defense system in Eastern Europe that had exercised the Russians, though it was aimed at potential future missiles from Iran.

Obama hoped such a unilateral U.S. forfeiture would encourage Russia to put pressure on Iran to halt its nuclear weapons development. So far, no good on that.

Of course, the point of secret tests by any state in an insecure, suspicious world is to deny advance notice to potential enemies, making it more difficult if not impossible for them to gain intelligence by monitoring the tests themselves
.
Yeah, I'm sure Putin will just roll over and wave his legs in the air he'll be so happy to join in.

That's about enough stomach upset for one morning.
