Is there ANY excuse for the United Nations anymore?
"Without fanfare, the United Nations this week elected Iran to its Commission on the Status of Women, handing a four-year seat on the influential human rights body to a theocratic state in which stoning is enshrined in law and lashings are required for women judged "immodest."

The UN has served its two main planned purposes:
The British Empire is gone.
Throughout the World Capital and the means of production are now mostly under social control.
It is now just a place to put second rate party members so they can be paid more than they are worth.
Perhaps one of the Danish cartoonists or Ayaan Hirsi Ali should be given a prominant position - at least they are decent, genuine and able people.
