A name like that suggests Bulgaria was only a transfer station.
So, either the Yard does not know the true origin of the perp, or they do know but wish to conceal the location. Both are equally plausible. But the name sort of gives it away

To the Upper Class and their Janissaries, that's true.
And it seems lots of people are not only sick of it, they're willing to show so.
One of the idiot things about the "He's a Bulgarian, leave him alone!" crap is the pretending a Bulgarian couldn't be of a certain ethnic persuasion.
